Over 30 years experience
Whether this is your first experience of Driver CPC or you are starting on your second round of training, we are sure you’ll find our courses both informative and enjoyable.
Having helped over 5000 drivers acquire their Drivers Qualification Card throughout the North West of England, North Wales, Cheshire and Merseyside, we can safely say that we are one of the country’s biggest Driver CPC training providers.
You must be CPC certified if you drive articulated vehicles, bin lorries, tipper trucks, heavy construction equipment, public buses (regional and local), or coaches for a living. It is essentially for “everyone,” although professionals are expected to get it.
A CPC certification is legally required for all professional drivers that hold licences that categorises C or D. It is now a standard part of professional driving especially if you are operating a bus, lorry or a coach.
A Driver CPC is a set of standards applied to initial driver training to career-long continuing education. It is established by the European Union to ensure drivers are both proficient and competent.
We can provide either offsite training or come to you for a more relaxed training environment.
Whilst we know that your attendance on the CPC course is a requirement and not a choice, we appreciate that you do get the choice in who provides your training. It is for this reason that we ensure that our courses are constantly revised and updated to ensure that they remain accurate. We also ensure that our instructors continue to improve their skills and knowledge. Currently the vast majority of our instructors hold a minimum of an operators’ CPC qualification, with several holding a DGSA certificate and many are approved ADR instructors or DSA registered LGV instructors.
Our courses are all individual ‘free-standing’ modules; they can be attended in any order and over an extended time period, be that one each week, month or each year.
Certificates of attendance are provided at the end of each day and your Driver Qualification card will be automatically dispatched to you on completion.
Drivers who gain their Driver CPC by completing the initial qualification with their new licence must complete their first cycle of periodic training within 5 years of the date they acquired their Driver CPC.
All professional vocational drivers must undertake periodic training in order to maintain their Driver CPC. Drivers will have to complete a minimum of 35 hours of approved training every 5 years. Each training course must be of a minimum length of 7 hours, with the 7 hours being defined as contact time with the trainer.
All training must be taken with an approved training centre and on an approved training course. Records of training will be kept centrally.
